Grup indie pop potensial, Japanese Breakfast dikabarkan tengah menggarap soundtrack baru untuk sebuah video game berjudul Sable. “Glider” merupakan lagu yang dipilih khusus untuk mengisi soundtrack video game tersebut. Game ini rencananya akan diluncurkan pada 2019 mendatang. Sable adalah video game bertema fantasi coming of age, yang memiliki set di luar planet bumi.

Kabar baik ini turut disampaikan langsung oleh sang frontman, Michelle Zauner. Melalui akun Twitter pribadinya, Zauner mengungkap rasa antusiasnya bisa berkontribusi sebagai pengisi soundtrack video game Sable.

“Sungguh gembira akhirnya bisa membagikan kabar baik ini. Merasa terhormat bisa bekerja sama dengan game hebat ini!” tulis Zauner antusias.

Japanese Breakfast terbentuk pada 2013 lalu. Band ini merupakan moniker dari musisi berbakat keturunan Korea, Michelle Zauner. Sebelumnya Zauner sempat menukangi band indie rock lainnya, Little Big League. Sejauh ini, Japanese Breakfast telah menelurkan sebanyak dua album penuh, yakni Psychopomp (2016) dan Soft Sounds from Another Planet (2017).
