Trio dance-punk asal New York, The Rapture gelar reuni dan kembali aktif. Mereka terakhir kali tampil di tahun 2012, setelah merilis album terakhir berjudul In The Grace Of Your Love (2011).

The Rapture akhirnya membubarkan diri di tahun 2014 dan akan tampil kembali untuk pertama kalinya di festival Just Like Heaven, Los Angeles. Setelahnya, mereka juga akan tampil di Music Hall, Brooklyn pada 30 April mendatang.

“Rasanya sudah lama sekali sejak The Rapture aktif. Selama ini kami melewati jalan panjang yang sulit untuk mencari tahu bagaimana caranya menjadi ayah dan suami, rasanya ini lebih penting ketimbang berdiri di panggung dan di hadapan banyak orang. Kami melewati terapi, kami kembali saling berinteraksi, rasanya masih aneh tapi saya tidak akan kembali tampil jika saya tidak melihat bahwa masih ada harapan untuk berkembang.

“Saya berharap masih ada masa depan yang panjang buat kami, dan semoga kami bisa membangun hal-hal baru. Mungkin kalian akan kembali bergabung suatu saat nanti,” jelas gitaris-vokalis, Luke Jenner dalam laman Facebook miliknya.

Walaupun begitu, saat ini formasi The Rapture belum jelas, begitupun konser-konser setelahnya. Just wait and see!
